A CY LAW Meeting was held on Friday, October 13th, 2006 at the East Hampton Senior Citizens Center Conference Room. The following CY LAW Members attended the meeting: Jim Adams, Gabriel Amatore, Walt Barch, Ron Caminati, Dan Casey, Warren Edwards, Pete Flood, Joe Fritz, Ed Musil, Bill Olney, Homer Ross, John Schaschl

LAW President Warren Edwards opened the meeting at 10:15a.m.

There was no Treasurers report.

The Secretary reported that sympathy cards were recently sent to Joyce Biondi and Ted Barber upon t he loss of loved ones. A get-well card was sent to Tom Newton. A thank-you note was received from Joyce Biondi.

There was no old business.

Under new business a Christmas Luncheon was discussed. It was agreed that Angellinos Restaurant has been a nice place to hold our luncheon for the past few years and we should try to make our reservation there again. Warren agreed to investigate the availability of the restaurant and get information back to the LAW Secretary.

Thank you e-mails were sent to Denise Dudek and Wayne Gates for the February LAW Meeting slide show on the status of the decommissioning progress. Also thank-you e-mails were sent to Carla Pizzella, Jackie Burdick, Maureen Hallberg, Bonnie McLean, and Penny White for providing the LAW Membership with a great pizza luncheon following our February meeting.

E-mails were received from Beth and Fred Hartke about their planned t rip to Australia. Also from Marshall Morris, just to say hello to his friends and former CY co-workers.

Ron Caminati observed that it did not seem that there were enough CY LAW Members at the meeting to discuss officer positions or to consider electing officers. (voting was tabled)

Walt Barch mentioned that he and his wife traveled to Canada in their RV. He recalled that there was no problem crossing the border into Canada. He did say that he believes that after the first of the year, (2007), passports will be required for border crossings in either direction.

A motion was made and seconded to donate $20 to the senior center for the use of the meeting room. Warren noted that $20 is a bargain as compared to using the East Hampton Library Meeting Room which could cost $65.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Dan Casey
CY LAW Secretary

P.S. After the meeting it was learned that Joe Fritz recently lost his wife. Our deepest sympathies to you Joe.
